Everyone must obtain a security licence from the Ontario Government in order to work as a security guard.
These are the steps:
Take a government approved 40 hour Basic Security Training course
Pass a written test administered by the Ontario Government
Receive your licence to legally work as a security guard
Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check - (CRJMC)

If you don’t pass the test the first time, you can retake any part of the training course again. Let our team know and we will work with you to support your progress.
